This week’s music video comes from the French music duo Daft Punk, who are typically known for their upbeat electronic dance music. However, the video for their song “Prime Time of Your Life” explores a darker realm, telling a story of a little girl with seemingly deep insecurities about her looks. The video has an aesthetic reminiscent of the 1988 film “They Live” and showcase the perception of the little girl who sees everyone around her as living skeletons except for herself. As the video progresses we see the desperation of the girl to become like those around her only to find that the perception is actually distorted but not before the girl takes matters into her own hands.
